The Tanzania Fintech Association (TAFINA) is the national umbrella body representing fintechs across Tanzania. Incorporated in March 2023, TAFINA was founded to serve as a unified voice for the fintech industry—championing policy and regulatory engagement, promoting industry standards, and fostering innovation and sustainable growth.

With a rapidly growing membership base of over 70 fintech companies, TAFINA has cultivated a vibrant, member-driven community focused on knowledge exchange, policy advocacy, and ecosystem collaboration. Our members are at the core of our mission, and we are deeply committed to supporting their growth, visibility, and influence in shaping the future of finance in Tanzania and beyond.

We are actively forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to build an enabling environment for innovation. TAFINA proudly sits on the National Technical Committee for the National Financial Inclusion Framework and is a recognized member of the Africa Fintech Network (AFN). We also maintain close collaboration with the East Africa Fintech Associations, working to advance cross-border collaboration, regulatory harmonization, and regional investment opportunities.
